J’Zhirr chases Calixto Corrium through the city, slashing away with his greatsword when he is near enough to the killer. At the end of the chase, Calixto collapses from his wounds. Perhaps it is fitting that he dies kneeling in front of Hjerim.
J’Zhirr turns into the marketplace. It is full of people buying their supplies before the stalls close for the night. At first everything seems fine, then a strange movement in the crowd catches this one’s eye. J’Zhirr moves closer and is surprised to see Calixto Corrium pulling out a dagger and then slowly inches towards Arivanya. Nobody sees him as they are all busy making purchases.
So J’Zhirr unsheathes his greatsword and takes a swing at Calixto. This causes him to abandon his murderous plans and flees. J’Zhirr gives chase, while Arivanya, who is obviously unharmed, cries “Murder!” at the top of her voice.
Calixto Corrium owns a house of curiosities where he displays the interesting items that he and his sister collected during their travels in Tamriel. After his sister’s death, he decides to settle down and opens a museum in her name. For two gold, he gives J’Zhirr a tour of the place.
When J’Zhirr shows him a strange amulet that this one finds in Hjerim, Calixto says it belongs to Wuunferth the Unliving. He also says that the amulet is just a symbolic piece of jewelry and quite worthless. However, Calixto is eager to add it to his collection and offers to buy the amulet for 500 gold. It is a large sum of money for something useless but J’Zhirr is not about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
J’Zhirr finds the layout of Windhlem confusing. The tall stone walls and narrow streets makes it difficult for this one to get his bearings.
J’Zhirr takes a wrong turn and ends up in the cemetery. A small group of people have gathered around a body of a woman. A female guard says that Susanna from Candlehearth Hall has been found murdered. She says that this is the third victim and killed in the same way as the others. One person heard Susanna’s scream and another thought he saw a fellow running away. But as in the previous murders, nobody saw anything that is of use.
J’Zhirr wants to help as Susanna was one of the friendlier faces in Windhelm. Besides, the guard says that they are stretched thin because of the war and nobody has the time to spend investigating it. She says resignedly, “Not pleasant, but it’s the truth.”
