An arrow in the Centurion

An arrow in a Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr gets on a ledge and shoots arrows at the Dwarven Centurion. This one does not want to get anywhere near the warhammer and battle axe that the Centurion has for hands. But the hulk of Dwemer metal is not as stupid as it looks. It climbs up and comes after J’Zhirr. Thankfully there are also some spots in the room where the Centurion is too big is get into.

Steaming centurion

Dwarven Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr steps a little to close and the Dwarven Centurion is activated. It moves around the room, billowing steam like a steam engine. Its arms end in a warhammer and a battle axe, both of which will deliver a crushing blow if the centurion manages to land a hit.

A Dwarven Sphere has also appeared. This one decides to take out the sphere first as it is the weaker machine.

Centurion room

Dwarven Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr steps cautiously into the room. A Dwarven Centurion stands at the other end. It is the largest of the mechanical guardians that the Dwemers had constructed, as tall as a giant. It is very strong and highly resistance to damage. This will not only be a tough fight, it will be a long one as well.

This one stays in the shadows and observes it. The centurion does not move. However this one is sure that once he steps close enough, the centurion will attack without mercy.

Dwarven Sphere at the end

Mzinchaleft corridor

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr pauses at the start of a corridor. This one finds Dwemer architecture fascinating; it is very different from Nordic ruins. The rug has holes in it but the stone and metal still look pristine, just covered in dust and cobwebs. Then J’Zhirr hears the familiar clank of metal against stone and a Dwarven Sphere appears at the end of the corridor.

Dwarven Spider

Dwarven Spider

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr encounters a Dwarven Spider patrolling the empty corridors. Dwarven Spiders are responsible for repairing the machinery in the Dwemer ruins. They are not built for offensive activities so they present little threat to J’Zhirr. The only danger is when a group of them attacks. Even a skeever can take down a mammoth when there is a swarm of them.

Solitary Dwarven Sphere

One Dwarven Sphere

Dear Mother,

The Dwarven Spheres are strong so dealing with them will take some thinking. J’Zhirr sneaks past the Dwarven Spheres, taking care to stick close to the shadows. This one finds a high platform and positions himself on top of some rubble.

J’Zhirr shoots a test arrow. It hits and bounces off the sphere, but this one notices that the arrow still causes some damage. The impact causes the machine to come out of the sphere and wander around looking for the attacker. It comes close to the rubble but as it cannot look up, it does not detect J’Zhirr.
