After selling off some loot that J’Zhirr collected along the way, he leaves to meet Isran at Fort Dawnguard. After he leaves the city, this one turns around and takes a look.
Whiterun is the first city that J’Zhirr visits after he arrived at Skyrim. It is a big city and contains three districts: Plains District, Wind District and Cloud District. It’s central location means that J’Zhirr often drops by on his travels to sell goods and restock on supplies. Now that J’Zhirr has a house in the city, complete with a
housekeeper housecarl to take care of the property while he is away, Whiterun feels more and more like J’Zhirr’s second home.
J’Zhirr sees Jon Battle-Born and Olfina Grey-Mane meeting outside the city, away from their feuding families. Jon wants to meet Olfina after she finished her work at the tavern but she refuses as she thinks her father is starting to suspect something.
J’Zhirr feels sorry for the two of them so their secret is safe with this one.
Ulfberth War-Bear runs the Warmaiden’s when Adrianne Avenicci is busy at the forge. The first time J’Zhirr steps into the shop, Ulfberth welcomes this one by saying, “Welcome to Warmaiden’s. Now don’t let the name worry you – we got plenty o’ steel for fightin’ men.”
J’Zhirr learns that if one has the time, one should check with both Adrianne and Ulfberth for they seem to have different wares available for sale.
Mithorpa Nasyal builds his farm close to some old ruins. He seems to prefer to keep to his own company. Perhaps there a reason that Mithorpa stays alone, far from any towns or cities. Whatever the reason, Mithorpa does not feel like sharing. When J’Zhirr tries to talk to Mithorpa, he says, “Come to gawk at the Dark Elf?”
J’Zhirr takes a shortcut across the plains to get the Whiterun. Along the way, he spots a rock that looks like the head of an eagle. When he gets closer, he sees that it is a man-made rock pillar.
Gjukar’s Monument was constructed to commemorate an ancient battle. Gjukar was the commander of a platoon. He and his men were killed here. At the base of the stone pillar, someone had placed a sword and shield.
J’Zhirr speaks to Mralki and tells him that he should let Erik choose the life he wants. Mralki protests, saying that the world is a dangerous place and Erik has no idea what he is getting himself into. He also says he has no money to buy an armor for Erik.
The money problem is easily settled. J’Zhirr is not rich but he can spare some gold to pay for a basic set of armor. J’Zhirr first started out, other people extended a helping hand to this one. Now J’Zhirr is doing the same.
Mralki is moved and says, “Your kind deed will not go unrewarded, my friend. Tell Erik I’ve changed my mind, and we’ll visit Whiterun soon to fit him for armor.”
Erik is overjoyed to hear the news. He invites J’Zhirr to pay him a visit one day. “Maybe we can swap stories about our adventures over a mug of ale at the inn!” he says.
The last time J’Zhirr sees Erik, he is walking in the direction of Whiterun.
