Retrieving Grimsever

Grimsever

Dear Mother,

The Dwarven Centurion finally falls.

J’Zhirr searches the room and finds the Grimsever lying on a block of stone, next to some dried blood splatters, most likely Mjoll‘s. It is a beautiful-looking glass sword. J’Zhirr can see why Mjoll is so attached to it. She will be surprised when this one puts the sword in her hands.

An arrow in the Centurion

An arrow in a Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr gets on a ledge and shoots arrows at the Dwarven Centurion. This one does not want to get anywhere near the warhammer and battle axe that the Centurion has for hands. But the hulk of Dwemer metal is not as stupid as it looks. It climbs up and comes after J’Zhirr. Thankfully there are also some spots in the room where the Centurion is too big is get into.

Steaming centurion

Dwarven Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr steps a little to close and the Dwarven Centurion is activated. It moves around the room, billowing steam like a steam engine. Its arms end in a warhammer and a battle axe, both of which will deliver a crushing blow if the centurion manages to land a hit.

A Dwarven Sphere has also appeared. This one decides to take out the sphere first as it is the weaker machine.

Centurion room

Dwarven Centurion

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr steps cautiously into the room. A Dwarven Centurion stands at the other end. It is the largest of the mechanical guardians that the Dwemers had constructed, as tall as a giant. It is very strong and highly resistance to damage. This will not only be a tough fight, it will be a long one as well.

This one stays in the shadows and observes it. The centurion does not move. However this one is sure that once he steps close enough, the centurion will attack without mercy.

Mzinchaleft courtyard

Dear Mother,

Another part of the courtyard is better lit. A long flight of stairs leads to a building in the back. J’Zhirr sees a dead Falmer lying at the foot of the stairs, likely killed by whatever is in that building. It is a bit worrying for the Falmers can hold their own against the Dwemers’ creations. Meaning that what is in that building is stronger than the usual machines scurrying around. Looks like a tough fight is waiting for J’Zhirr.

Mzinchaleft courtyard

Mzinchaleft courtyard

Dear Mother,

J’Zhirr follows a tunnel dug out by the Falmers. It leads to a courtyard. With fountains, long benches and soft, blue lights, the courtyard is probably a beautiful place back in the days when the Dwemers were still around. The fountains still work, the light still glow and benches are still available for sitting on. But now, parts of the courtyard have collapsed into a pile of rubble and the Falmers have built their chaurus chitin tents in the area.
