After defeating Potema’s inner council, J’Zhirr cautiously proceeds to the Wolf Queen’s throne. Her ghostly outline can be seen clearly against the dark colors of the throne. Even now, Potema is not going down without a fight.
As J’Zhirr approaches, she gets up and attacks. She also summons atronachs to fight by her side. When J’Zhirr finally defeats her and her minions, he grabs her skull from the throne and runs out of the catacombs. Styrr will bless it so that the Wolf Queen will no longer pose a danger and this one will be able to get nice reward from Falk Firebeard.
J’Zhirr reaches a huge chamber and hears the Wolf Queen speaks again. She congratulates this one for making it this far and wonders if he can make it past her inner council. Then the magic in the air crackles and the coffins in the chamber open one by one.
J’Zhirr hides himself on one of the high ledges where the draugrs cannot see him. As they wander around the chamber, this one shoots arrows at them. It takes a lot of arrows so it is a good thing that J’Zhirr had brought over 100 arrows with him.
J’Zhirr enters a room filled with dead draugrs. Potema speaks again and this time raises some draugrs. The draugrs attack J’Zhirr with the aim of making this one a permanent member of Potema’s undead army. Needless to say, they did not succeed.
When the last of the draugrs has finally been laid to rest and Potema’s voice slienced, J’Zhirr stays for a while in the room, systematically searching each body for gold. The bodies do not hold as much gold as those from the Kilkreath Ruins, but this one manages to collect enough to buy some new armor and a good meal.
Using the key, J’Zhirr opens the door to Potema’s Sanctum. In one of the chambers, J’Zhirr encounters a nightstalker, a more powerful type of vampire. Her knowledge of ice and lightning spells makes her a dangerous enemy. Then as if the odds are not high enough, she also reanimates some draugrs to fight by her side.
Hours later, J’Zhirr arrives at a room containing a dead draugr sitting on a throne. Unfortunately the room also contained a vampire fledging, hidden from view by an out jutting rock. A vampire fledging is the weakest kind of vampire but even a weak vampire knows how to reanimate a dead body. The closest dead body unfortunately happens to be a powerful draugr deathlord.
As both of them lunge at J’Zhirr, this one swings his greatsword madly. Somehow, this one survives the fight and lives to pick a key off the dead vampire’s ashes.
Deeper in the catacombs, J’Zhirr comes upon an underground reservoir. When this one steps closer to see if the water is drinkable, a draugr suddenly rises from its watery grave. J’Zhirr quickly jumps back, landing sliently on his paws and the draugr does not detect this one’s presence. If J’Zhirr keeps to the far wall, he can sneak pass the draugr successfully.
But where’s the fun in that?
